About Eon Swiegers
I’m Eon, an experienced registered yoga teacher 500 hours (E-RYT500) and a teacher trainer. After completing my two degrees I was immediately drawn to the health, wellness, and fitness industry which in turn led me down my yoga journey. For the past 15 years, I’ve trained and focused on vinyasa, ashtanga, alignment-based movement, posture corrections, and wellness solutions that promote a healthy balanced body and mind.
I have trained Olympic gold medalists, professional golfers, dancers, gymnasts, horse riders, track and field Olympiads, the South African Cricket squad, corporates, embassies, and government. I run my 200- and 300-hour yoga alliance accredited school (est. 2016) in Austin and Cedar Park, Texas, as well as Cape Town, and Pretoria, South Africa. I have traveled across 20 countries to teach workshops and loved all the experiences that have allowed me to share specialized strengthening, mobility, healing, and recovery practices.
I love passing on honest advice & knowledge, making yoga accessible for students of all abilities, and providing detailed adjustments to deepen the practice and optimize body movement through correct science-based alignment. I love helping others feel like their best selves. I hope to see you on the mat soon!

Yes. Not all attendees intend to teach yoga. Many enroll for their own personal enrichment. The training is designed to deepen their yoga, pranayama, and meditation practice and other aspects of yoga including anatomy and yoga philosophy.
Apart from the scheduled in-person hours students are required to:
Complete 70 hours of practice/study online through the EonYoga platform. This will include objectives, specific classes, workshops, and self-reflection. You will receive access to the content before the training start date. Students may apply for extension should the hours not be completed by the end date of the training. We highly recommend prioritizing and completing the hours on time.
Complete 20 self-practice hours at Moonshine Yoga Studio or any other yoga studio
30 non-contact hours will be dedicated to reading, research, assignments etc
There is a well-respected organization called Yoga Alliance which provides yoga teacher training program guidelines. EonYoga will issue a certificate of completion to those who successfully complete all the graduation requirements. Graduates can register with Yoga Alliance and become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500), as EonYoga Teacher Training program is approved by Yoga Alliance
Completing a 300-hour training counts in a student’s favor as more time is spent with a master trainer. To help our studio takes several measures:
- We schedule community classes taught by our graduates.
- We give priority to our graduates as substitute teachers for classes taught by other teachers when they need substitute teachers.
- When a teaching position becomes available, given everything else being equal among all applicants, our graduates are given priority for the position.
Even though we strongly encourage students to attend all classes, there is an online YTT200 program on the EonYoga platform to catch up on workshops and lectures in the event that a student miss hours that need to be made up.
There will be a set of recommended books and reading assignments. If you like to own the books you will need to buy them at your own cost. The attendance of classes at yoga studios other than Moonshine Yoga Studio will be your expense should you wish to practice at any other studio to complete the 20 additional hours.
