About Eon Swiegers
I’m Eon, an experienced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT500) with over 15 years of expertise in alignment-based yoga, vinyasa, ashtanga, posture corrections, and wellness.
As an alignment-based yoga teacher, I’ve trained Olympic gold medalists, professional golfers, ballerinas, competitive horse riders, track and field Olympiads, and the South African Cricket team. I run my YTT200 yoga alliance accredited school (est. 2016) in Austin Texas, Cape Town, and Pretoria South Africa. I have traveled across 20 countries to teach workshops and loved all the experiences that have allowed me to share specialized strengthening, mobility, healing, and recovery practices.
My mission is to make yoga accessible to all, offering personalized guidance and providing detailed adjustments to deepen the practice and optimize body movement through correct science-based alignment to help students achieve their best selves. I hope to see you on the mat soon!

- Yoga Asana Practice: A thorough exploration of various yoga postures, their alignment, and modifications for different bodies.
- Anatomy and Physiology: A comprehensive understanding of the human body and its systems, as they relate to yoga practice.
- Philosophy and Ethics: An introduction to yoga philosophy and ethics, including the eight limbs of yoga, the history of yoga, and the ethical considerations for yoga teachers.
- Teaching Methodology: Techniques for teaching yoga effectively, including lesson planning, sequencing, and use of props.
- Teaching Practicum: Opportunities to teach classes under the supervision of an experienced teacher, with feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Business of Yoga: An understanding of the business side of teaching yoga, including marketing, pricing, and legal considerations.
- Self-Practice: Time for personal practice and self-reflection, to deepen your own understanding and experience of yoga.

We meet the trainees where they are. You don’t need a specific level of practice – we welcome all levels from basics to advanced, Also, you don’t have to be a member of Moonshine Yoga studio to apply. However, we do encourage you to take yoga classes before the training starts. All levels are welcome.
Yes. Not all attendees intend to teach yoga. Many enroll for their own personal enrichment.The training is designed to become a well-rounded teacher as well as for those who simply want to deepen their yoga practice. It’s a transformational journey!
You are required to complete an additional 40 training hours at any yoga studio or on the EonYoga platform. Additional training hours will apply from the sign-up date till the end of the training.
There is a well-respected organization called Yoga Alliance which provides yoga teacher training program guidelines. EonYoga will issue a certificate of graduation to those who successfully complete all the graduation requirements. Graduates can register with Yoga Alliance and become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200), as EonYoga Teacher Training program is approved by Yoga Alliance.
The several measurements to help our graduates start their public teaching:
- Throughout the program, all attendees practice teach frequently, receive feedback from other attendees, and observe other attendees teach.
- We schedule community classes taught by our graduates.
- We give priority to our graduates as substitute teachers.
- When a teaching position becomes available, given everything else being equal among all applicants, our graduates are given priority for the position.
Even though we strongly encourage students to attend all classes, there is an online YTT200 program on the EonYoga platform to catch up on workshops and lectures in the event that a student miss hours that need to be made up.
There will be a set of recommended books and reading assignments. If you like to own the books you will need to buy them at your own cost and the cost of class attendance/observation at other yoga studios.
Yes. We understand everyone in different financial situation. The install payment plans are available.
Student refund policy Upon payment and confirmation of your place:
- If cancellation is more than 8 weeks from start date = 75% of total training amount refund available
- If cancellation is between 6-8 weeks from start date = 50% of total training amount refund available
- If cancellation is less than 4-6 weeks from start date = 25% of total training amount refund available
- If cancellation is less than 4 weeks from start date no refund will be issued
- The certification will not be issued until the training is paid in full
A minimum of 6 student sign-ups required for the training to take place.
