The Benefits Of Aerial Yoga
⭐ Physical Development: Aerial yoga helps children build core strength, improve balance, and enhance flexibility. The hammock supports their body weight, making it easier to achieve poses that might be challenging on the ground.
⭐ Mental Focus: The practice requires concentration and mindfulness, helping children develop better focus and mental clarity. It also teaches them to listen to their bodies and move with intention.
⭐ Confidence Building: Successfully mastering poses in the air can boost a child’s self-esteem and confidence. The sense of accomplishment they feel after completing a class is empowering.
⭐ Emotional Well-being: The gentle rocking and inversion poses in aerial yoga can be calming and soothing, helping to reduce stress and anxiety. It provides a safe space for children to express themselves and release pent-up energy.
⭐ Creativity and Fun: Aerial yoga is a creative outlet where kids can explore different ways to move and play in the hammock. It encourages imaginative play and adds an element of fun to traditional yoga practice.

FAQS
The Kids Aerial Program is designed for children aged 6 to 12 years old.
No previous experience is required. Our program is designed for beginners as well as those with some aerial or yoga experience. We focus on building skills progressively from the basics
- Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing (like leggings, t-shirts, or tank tops) that allow for movement. Avoid clothes with zippers, buttons, or anything that could get caught in the aerial hammocks.
Avoid Heavy Meals Before Class: It’s best if your child avoids heavy meals at least 2 hours before class. Light snacks are fine if they need a quick energy boost, but they should avoid feeling too full or uncomfortable during class.
No Late Entry: Arrive on time. Late entry is not allowed as warm-ups are critical to prevent injuries and ensure safety. It also helps kids mentally prepare for the class.
Water Bottle: Be sure to bring a water bottle to keep your child hydrated during the class. Staying hydrated is key to maintaining energy and focus.

Safety Measures in Our Kids Aerial Program:
Expert Instruction: Our experienced instructors are fully trained in aerial yoga and child safety. They guide children with proper technique and ensure that they perform poses safely.
Safety-First Approach: We emphasize proper use of aerial hammocks, and instructors spot students during challenging poses to ensure they are practicing correctly and safely.
Age-Appropriate Activities: The curriculum is carefully designed to match the developmental stage and abilities of children aged 6-12, ensuring that exercises and movements are suitable for their physical growth.
- Supervised Practice: Students are always supervised while in the air, and we avoid any risky or strenuous movements that could cause injury.
Progressive Curriculum: Children progress through levels at their own pace, starting with foundational skills and building confidence before advancing to more challenging poses.
Moonshine Yoga Studio’s Kids Aerial Program is highly sought-after due to experienced instructors, small class sizes, and a structured learning approach. Students progress through levels safely, building confidence and skill over time. Our program also emphasizes:

Holistic Development: We integrate mindfulness, breathwork, and relaxation techniques to support overall well-being.
Yes! Aerial yoga includes inversion poses (hanging upside down). Inversions can help with strength, flexibility, and confidence. However, we always ensure that these poses are introduced gradually and with proper guidance, so kids feel comfortable and supported.
We encourage parents to stay involved, but for the safety and focus of the children, we kindly ask that you refrain from watching the classes so kids won’t get distracted. However, we offer observation days and events where you can come in and see your child’s progress!
We understand that life happens! If your child misses a class during the semester, we can help you arrange a make up session. No make up class will be offered on camps and Mommy & Me Aerial series.
